About the brewery
The brewery was founded in 1888. Success was achieved under the leadership of Emil Petersen. To this day it is one of the largest independent breweries in Schleswig-Holstein region. Today, the descendants of Petersen still have their own share in the management of the company. Their beers are easily recognizable - until today they still use the traditional bottle with swing stopper.
