Double Dark can be regarded as a very strong, specialty type of porter. It is certainly an unusual, perhaps challenging beer for anyone looking for an interesting taste experience. It is made with 24%extract and has 10.5% alcohol. It was recognised as the strongest Czech beer when it was introduced in 1990, and one of the strongest in Europe. Ingredients include five kinds of malts; Czech, Bavarian, caramel, colouring and wheat. The malts provide the foundation for flavour, with roasted malt being dominant.
