Anchor Steam Beer

An amber, bottom-fermented, American steam beer. This rich, complex beer is brewed in an unusual way - it is brewed using bottom fermentation, but at warmer ale-type temperatures. The result is a medium-bodied beer, with a hoppy, fruity aroma and hints of caramel, yeast and malt. The taste is quite sweet, but well-balanced with notable nut and toffee flavours. A distinct bitterness develops in the finish. Carbonation is standard providing a thick, dense head.
